Financial Literacy Campaign

Project Manager: Fadhil Afandi bin Mohd Azahar.

On 3 – 4 March 2008, we had organized the Financial Literacy Campaign as an additional project to ensure a fiscally educated society at large. With recession looming in the near future, there was no better time for us to guide people so that they could withstand the depression. And for that, our financial literacy campaign was to introduce unit trust as the preferred type of investment especially for students.

Project: Charity is Unity I & II (2007-2008)

Project Manager: Nur Atiqah binti Zainuddin and Mohd Taufiq (former)

For the past seven years, SIFE UNITEN have successfully organized programs with the Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (RACTAR). These programs were meant to teach the children more about the entrepreneurships that we believe will later benefit them in their life. Based on the success of the previous activities, we have decided to continue with the program by conducting ‘Charity is Unity I & II’, that include awareness about the state of the environment, entrepreneurship skills, and self-promotion.

Project: Eco-AF Fish Feeder (2008)

SIFE Uniten undertook the task to promote the product, that is the Automatic Rotating Feeding Mechanism, Eco-AF.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
  • To introduce ECO-AF in fish culture.
  • To increase the income of fish breeders using ECO-AF
  • To preserve the environment by using renewable resources
  • To market the ECO-AF to the local and global market
THE PRODUCT

This contraption is designed for dry feed; it creates a cheaper and innovative way to successfully operate fish farms. This project is suitable for application which requires the interval release of matter like fish feed in the aqua set-up. It creates a great advantage to remote areas that do not have steady electricity supply since the timer is purely established through mechanical devices using the readily flow of water.

Greetings from Berlin

SIFE World Cup had finally came to an end. Our (Bangi campus) president, Nur Shahirah, had a few words sent to us all the way from Berlin:
Salam and hi to all of u,

How are u? Hope everyone is fine over there.

I'm sending u this from Berlin. I just came back from Sife World Cup. It was so great and I can see everyone is so motivated in doing their part in the club as well as their projects. So, I am hoping the same thing from all of you. We must move fast, work fast, and think fast!! Manage your time wisely.

Thanks!
I can see that they are full of spirits! And so should we. And as for that, I would like to announce that we will post description of our previous project here in this blog, one by one. I hope you will find them quite informative, and most importantly make you feel more spirited to run the project for this year!

But there will not be a word on this year's projects though. It's our tiny little secret. lol. But if you want to join us or would like some info about them, you can always email us!

That's it for now!~

Bon Voyage, Sifers!

SIFE World Cup is set to be held in Berlin, Germany this 4th October 2009. We might not be qualified to compete in the World Cup, but we still send our respective Sifers as observer there, so they will be able to gain knowledge and experience for the sake of our club.

6 Sifers - 3 from Putrajaya campus and 3 from Muadzam campus, plus Advisor Miss Vathana and husband - fled to Berlin on Wednesday, 30th September 2009. There will be going for about 2 weeks and hopefully they will come back with bags full of knowledge and wisdom for us here.

Bon Voyage! Hope they'll find their way home safely and not forgetting that their final exam is coming up! ^___^ (same goes to you guys, too!)

* * * * *

Well, this year is Berlin, and next year's gonna be Los Angeles. Hopefully we can send more people to World Cup next year...

No, wait! Let's change the wish.

Hope that we ARE THE ONE who will be competing in the next World Cup. Amen~

Sifers, fighting!!!!!

A little piece of thoughts in Aidilfitri

Throughout the years, we've been through a lot of hardship and depression. There were moments where things didn't turn out as expected and creating sparks on our friendship. Nevertheless, we managed to pass every obstacles without getting burnt and became what we are now.

Thus, we would like to take this chance to express our gratitude to ALL Sifers for ALL your time and hard work to make sure that our projects and activities were to be executed successfully. Not to forget, to the advisors, the business advisors, and alumnaes who had spent your free time to take care of us Sifers.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!~ ♥

In congestion to the month of Aidilfitri, we would like to ask for your apologies for any mistakes that we've done and any glitches that we might overlooked. No humans are born perfect - and for our imperfection, please forgive us. Hope our bond can be stronger than ever, and our spirit can be as high as the sky.

And last (but of course not least), hope it is not too late to wish all of you:

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI!~

MAAF ZAHIR BATIN
